Maybe it could be swimmer’s ear??? I suffer from it. This happens when water collects inside the ear and stays there. The way you describe it, sounds that you have left it unattended and therefore it has gotten worse. That happened to me the first time. I just didn’t know what it was and the pain got worse and my lymph nodes on one side of my neck became swollen. Kind of how you describe it. I would recommend checking with a doctor first. However, i usually get ear drops at the pharmacy. This takes care of it. Hope this help.

Maybe ear infection or something else , you should get checked by a physician. Good Luck
