Well lets talk about the causes of “chest pain”. Chest pain is caused by interruption of blood flow to the heart, blood carries oxygen, and if the heart muscle isn’t getting enough oxygen you could develop chest pain. Some people will develop this pain after a big meal, shovelling snow or at rest. Symptoms are different for different people, but if you have any concerns, it is better to be safe then sorry, see a professional!
Symptoms over three months is wanting to die, let alone three days, or three hours.
Each time that happened a person may have had a small portion of heart muscle tissue die, so the heart is having more and more trouble beating. As the heart grows weaker and the amount of live tissue gets smaller and smaller, that is called heart failure as it is lost little by little.
Instead of one or more major heart arteries becoming blocked, smaller ones may be getting blocked, killing off the heart a little at a time. If they “go away”, it could be the person is left with some open arteries towhat is left of their heart.
This Patient Guide is written for the loved ones of heart patients who are dealing with the short-term stress that comes with a test, procedure or recent diagnosis of heart disease. It explains why support is so important to a loved one with heart disease. It also offers practical strategies on how to support a loved one while also taking care of yourself.
