The exact pressure is hard to tell, It’s the damage done by being high for long periods that could cause a stroke. So get it down and keep it down is your only safe thing to do now.
to help lower blood pressure, lose weight if overweight, decrease sodium/salt intake, quit smoking and lifestyle changes. Try following the D.A.S.H ., diet which is Dietary Approaches Stopping Hypertension (high blood pressure). More fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fish and less red meats. Any increase in blood pressure over the norm increases your risk of stroke. The more you are over the norm, the higher your risk of stroke. The recommended norm for blood pressure is 110/70. Blood pressure readings over 120/80 are pre-hypertensive. Blood pressure readings over 140/90 are hypertensive. Try avoiding foods that raise blood pressure (salty foods, snacks, processed meats) and eating foods that lower blood pressure (foods high in potassium). Walking 45 minutes a day at a moderate pace also helps.

Having said that, 165/105 is definitely too high, especially at 35 years old. It could be true that high blood pressure runs in your family but you can still do a lot to keep it down. Your diet and fitness level is extremely important. If you are overweight and/or unfit you may be able to reverse your high blood pressure with simple lifestyle changes.
Even if your lifestyle is healthy there are other natural ways to deal with high blood pressure. Have you heard of slow breathing? It helps many people when everything else has failed. Check the website below for free information and instructions.
With some effort you may be able to reach a point where you can maintain healthy blood pressure without medication. Lots of people have done it, some with hypertension worse than yours.
