It sounds like you have a sinus infection resulting in an upper respiratory infection. If this the case, you will need antibiotics to get better. Every ones heart rate jumps up when coughing hard. Please get a dr’s appt. It might be more than we think.
your normal resting heart beat is 70/min that’s good, but it can fluctuate in many cases even you are worsing it with anxiety,if 100-105 ppm continues with high blood pressure then it have to be sought out consuling a physician with ECG,Pathological blood tests..etc.the actual cause of your high pressure(HTN) and tachycardia (high pulse rate)
some anti-HTN and anti-anxiety drugs can cause persistent coughs specially at sleep time in bed at night
if you have high blood pressure then it can cause pulmonery asthma in the long run,but nothing to get worried as your cough is only for one week-time duration .
however your symtoms specialy the high blood pressure with high pulse rate and cough (after the strain-drug habits) can’t be neglected.
consult a doctor and clearly express all your history without hiding anything. (if possible submit to him in written as it enables to submit more info ,history to busy doctors)
