Absolutely. This will not only help your doc, but it will help you. Sometimes we gain weight, or have problems with our health, and think, well I don’t eat that much, but when you keep a journal, and write it down we become surprised either at how much we eat or what we eat. Not to mention, that if you are an emotional eater, you can help learn your triggers to snacking, and help to prevent a breakdown in the future. Good luck to you!

Yes, absolutely. The Doctor had told me for a few years to watch it but i ignored him. Wish i hadn’t. I’m 43 years old and had a heart attack this year. My lower left valve was 99% blocked and i got 2 stents put in it to keep it open. Don’t let anyone tell you it doesn’t hurt. It does and i don’t want to go through it again. Not to mention the fact that i take 4 different pillls a day now. Plavix and aspirin to thin my blood and keep the stents open, atenolol for blood pressure and Crestor for cholestorol. Had i had listened years ago i might only be on one or none of the meds. They aren’t cheap either.
This is such an important issue. If you are overweight these two coinciding conditions can lead to Diabetes and Heart disease. If you sleep poorly, that is a sign of diabetes. Other signs include a voracious appetite and excessive thirst with frequent urination, dry itchy skin and hot flashes and possibly headaches. Hopefully your doctor has checked your blood sugar levels. Please take this seriously, heart disease can strike at any time and kill you or possibly leave you paralyzed. Symptoms of heart attacks are an aching pain in your left arm, chest pain or a pressing and or crushing feeling on your chest. If these symptoms do arise seek medical help immediately. In the in turn take two aspirin immediately and head to the hospital. If you feel the heart attack coming on cough as hard as you can, this has saved many lives alone. I think it is time to re-learn how to eat. Eat healthy fats such as nuts, stay away from saturated fats. Products with coconut and palm oil are a recipe for disaster. Take brisk walks daily, any exercise is better than no exercise. Stay away from high sodium foods such as processed lunch meats, canned soups, Cup of noodles are horrible for you. bacon and sausage is terrible as well. Try egg beaters instead of eggs, etc. My father suffered from these symptoms and healthily recovered. If just one other person gets something out of this answer, I will be grateful. Life is too short, take advantage of it. “Carpe Diem”
